Winamp 2.05 is released on 15 November 1998. This new version of Winamp has a few new features. The features are: -

wVis 4.0 (better fullscreen support, new effects, higher quality rendering!)
Preliminary CDDB support. It rocks!
Massively better HTTP streaming. Even allows you to psuedo-stream MOD and MIDI files!
Much improved MOD/XM/IT playback.
A lot of new IPC stuff (for plug-in authors)
Bugfixes galore

Jack was in front of me coming out of church one day, and the preacher was standing at the door as he always is to shake hands. The preacher grabbed Jack by the hand and pulled him aside. The Pastor said to him, 'You need to join the Army of the Lord!'

Clear Run List

Many of you might be wandering how you can clear the Run list. When you click Start -> Run, you will see a list of programs that you have run.

Well, here is a simple procedure that you can follow to clean or clear it. You can do this by editing the registry. (As always, be sure to back up your Registry files--system.dat and user.dat--first.)

To open the Registry Editor, click the Start button, select Run, type regedit and click OK.

Navigate your way to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Explorer/RunMRU, and in the right pane, you'll see all the items that currently appear in your Run list. To delete an item, right-mouse-click its letter under Name, then select Delete. Click Yes to confirm, and the item disappears. Repeat these same steps for the rest of the items you want to delete (you can select more than one at a time by holding down Ctrl as you click each item), being sure not to delete the items named MRUList and (Default).

Close the Registry Editor, restart the computer, check out your Run list.
