ISSUE 8 (29 November 1998)

Hi everyone. First of all I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy Thanks Giving Day even though it's over.

As you can see from the past newsletter, there has been a minor changes. I started adding jokes and tips on the newsletter. I felt that you might feel bored reading all those updating so I have decided to put jokes and tips to bring you back.

Since Christmas is coming soon, I will be adding a new page on my site. This page will enable me to send greeting to all of you. If you have been to my site for the past few days, you will realize that I have a christmas midi being played. By the way, on 25 December 1998, it will be Acid Coltair 1st Anniversary.

Search Engine Update

If you have been to my MP3 section and used the search engine there, I guess you might felt frustrated as most of the search engine are down or are not responding. As a result of this, I have make my decision to remove a handful of it and left a few working one for you to use. I will add more search engine from time to time when I found a better one. As for the moment, I'll stick to those four search engines.

Acid Coltair MP3 Ring

As I have mentioned on the past two issues, Acid Coltair MP3 Ring is now ready. Anyone of you who are interested to join the webring are welcomed as I am pleased to add you to my MP3 ring. For your information, Acid Coltair MP3 Ring is the second web ring owned by Acid Coltair.

#Funtalk

#funtalk is a channel owned by me. I have registered that channel a year ago. #funtalk is only available on us.undernet. Since, Acid Coltair 1st Anniversary is coming soon, I have decided to make #funtalk public. This means that everyone are welcome to that channel. If there response is good, I will appoint a channel operator among you to operate the channel.

Thanks Giving Warning

T'was the night of Thanksgiving, but I just couldn't sleep I tried counting backwards, I tried counting sheep.

The leftovers beckoned -- the dark meat and white, but I fought the temptation with all of my might.

Tossing and turning with anticipation, the thought of a snack became infatuation.

So, I raced to the kitchen, flung open the door and gazed at the fridge, full of goodies galore.

I gobbled up turkey and buttered potatoes, pickles and carrots, beans and tomatoes.

I felt myself swelling so plump and so round, till all of a sudden, I rose off the ground.

I crashed through the ceiling, floating into the sky. With a mouthful of pudding and a handful of pie.

But, I managed to yell as I soared past the trees ....happy eating to all -- pass the cranberries, please!

Windows 95 & 98 Tips

Volume Control On Taskbar

What happened if I lost the yellow little speaker on the Taskbar?

Open the Control Panel, double-click Multimedia, and on the Audio tab of the Multimedia Properties dialog box, select Show volume control on the Taskbar. Click OK, and that little yellow speaker returns to the Taskbar.
